Highlights of the China experience Tour

Days 1-3 : UK - Shanghai - Wuzhen - Shanghai

Fly to Shanghai where our welcoming dinner will be of traditional Shanghai cuisine. The next day we take an enjoyable excursion to Wuzhen, a traditional town, home to an intricate system of canals and ancient architecture that combines with an abundance of local handicrafts.

Day 4 : Shanghai

Spend the day in Shanghai, often referred to as the 'Paris of the East'. In the morning we will visit the beautiful Yu Gardens and the Old Town. After lunch it’s off to the Shanghai Museum and the famous Bund, which offers an exhibition of grand architecture dating back to the early 1900’s. A look at the restored Xintiandi area of the city is next, before enjoying some shopping along renowned Nanjing Road. End the day with a stunning evening cruise on the Huangpu River, where the Colonial Bund and the futuristic Pudong come face-to-face.

Days 5-6 : Xian

Fly to the former imperial capital of Xian, where we will relax and experience traditional Shui Jiao cuisine in the evening. The following morning we visit one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th Century – the spectacular Terracotta Warriors, followed by the ancient City Wall, one of the best preserved in all of China. A Tang Dynasty dancing performance will conclude the evening.

Day 7 : Xian - Beijing

Visit the Little Wild Goose Pagoda and the Shaanxi Museum, where thousands of priceless relics are housed. Stroll through the city’s lively Muslim Quarter to visit the Great Mosque before flying to Beijing. Here, visit the unique Temple of Heaven and enjoy a traditional meal, which will include the local delicacy, Peking Duck.

Days 8-9 : Beijing

Sightseeing today includes a visit to the Forbidden City, the largest and best preserved collection of ancient buildings in China. Also stroll through Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square past Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum and enjoy a Chinese Acrobatic Show in the evening. The next day, walk the Great Wall, which stretches for some 6,350km, followed by a visit to the exquisite Summer Palace.

Day 10 : Beijing - UK

Fly back to the UK, arriving home later the same day filled with many happy memories.

As part of this service we include your Chinese Visa (British Citizen passport holders only on a fully escorted tour from the UK). We ask you to send in your completed visa application forms, passport and 1 Passport photo to us 8 weeks prior to your departure.

For foreign passport holders, land only passengers and for passports received less than 6 weeks prior to the tour departure date, there will be an additional fee of £50 per person for the above service.

It is possible for passengers to obtain and process their own visa application, however we cannot offer any money back for this as we will need to be provide you with significant information and documentation to enable you to do this yourself.
